Lush Sunnyside Bubble Bar Review

Lush is my favourite place for gorgeously smelling things. My favourite thing's to get are normally the bubble bars, my favourite is The Comforter which I mentioned here.
The Sunnyside bubble bar is covered in gold glitter and costs £3.65 and it smell's pretty lovely. I wouldn't have picked this up myself as I'm not a fan of glitter in products but as it's Andrea's fave I of course had to try it and fyi the glitter is rather fine.

It's not a overpowering smell but you can definitely smell the 'sweet wild orange' in the bar, there is also lemon and tangerine in it. Crumbled into a hot running bath it just smells devine.

This bubble bar left me with ton's of bubbles a slight shimmer in the water as the glitter is really fine (lots of glitter left once the bath was drained) and I don't remember the smell lingering around for too long which is unfortunate as I love it!
Maybe next time I'll crumble more into my bath as I only used a small amount but overall I loved this bar!
What is your favourite bubble bar?

Thank you + Review + Mini Haul

Gosh I didn't even realise I've got to 67 followers, that was a lovely surprise as I know I've been MIA thanks to university and work taking its toll. I want to say thank you to all my followers ^_^ I've been finding it hard to blog as much but I'm trying my best to do more posts.

So first of all the review, Lush Dorothy Bubble bar. £2.80
So initially I bought this product just on the cuteness factor, not really a good thing to base a purchase on but out of all Lush products its the bubble bar's that I love using. The scent I thought was okay, it's supposed to be like the figs and leaves soap however myself and the sales assistant thought Dorothy somehow had a nicer smell.
I unfortunately didn't get to take bath pictures but I used about a quarter of it and I got mostly the blue part, It turned my bath a gorgeous shade of blue and I actually thought it smelled quiet nice in the end as well!
Also when I start getting some of the rainbow into my bath I'll be getting different shades of blue I assume which I think will be really nice especially soon as I won't know what colour to expect!

Overall rating  B-
It's nice but nothing amazing.

Mini Haulage:

I got this lovely bracelet for £2.50 - Primark

This gorgeous thing...no idea what to call it though cardigan? - £8.00

When I first saw it there was some in navy and I think black maybe and I said to my friend I loveeee it but I want it in cream, walked around the corner and there we are!! beaut.

Then I popped into M&S where they had a sale on but it's not really been advertised. A lot of younger people don't really shop at M&S maybe classing it as somewhere for older people, I did this when I was younger 'the granny shop' haha but believe it or not they do sometimes have really nice things.
I got:
Earrings from £5.00 down to £2.00

Some tights, half price from £8.00 to £4.00..Bargains!

I also got some underwear, really good sale prices but I won't be sharing what I got!

Who's been shopping lately? It's for once a lovely day outside so I'm going to hit the shops before I go to uni.

3D Alice in wonderland + Haulage....Benefit/Hotel chocolat/MAC/Lush (of course)

Alice in wonderland was AMAZING. I went to the second showing of the day it was released because I'm a geek like that, I even made my friend power walk from uni to the train station so we could get there early even though we had like 2 hours and I had pre-booked tickets. I really recommend it, when it ended I was like wow that went so quick! Time flies when your enjoying something.

After the movie I went shopping, I really need to control my spending right now but oh how it doesn't help when your in the city center numerous times a week. Anyway I'm typing this with the smell of sweet vanilla wafting around me thanks to the scarf I spray attacked at boots. I actually really wanted it but it was sold out due to the save 66p offer so £1.33 for a bottle of yummy smelliness? Bargain. I might have to pop back in to get it and maybe some other scents too..

Okay so thing's that I actually got my hands onto was:

Benefit- Coralista
I finallyyy got my hands on Coralista, I've been wanting to buy this blusher for a long long time, I've heard so many good thing's about it so I got it a couple of day's ago from Debenhams as they had 10% off beauty.

First of all I have to say how nice it smells, pretty much all of the benefit blushers do, this is the second one I own the other one being Dallas which I seemed to have stopped using so it's nice to have a great smelling blusher in use again! I'm not a huge fan of shimmery blushers but this one is just right, the colour is gorgeous and I can't wait to use it.

Dorothy Bubble Bar- £2.80

Okay so the smell I got told is like the figs and leaves soap which I'm not a fan of. I compared them both at the store but its similar but Dorothy is somehow different in a way. I just had to get it because its so cute and I'd like to see my bath water change blue or different shades thanks to the rainbow. I'm a huge fan of Lush bubble bars....think I've tried almost all of them!

I also got Amandopondo £2.45

As you can see I've already used it. It's supposed to smell of Lemon and Rose but personally I think it's more Lemon than anything, I think it overpowers the smell of rose that might be in it. Despite this I still like the smell, it's refreshing. I had lovely fluffy bubbles but obviously the water stayed it's normal colour and the smell didn't linger. No match to The comforter.

I popped into MAC as I was in there a couple of days before and tried on the lipstick Faux a satin finish mauvey pink. When I got home I felt the need to buy it, I really liked the colour on me and it was nothing I've had before.
So I went back but somehow ended up getting Brave which is a Satin muted pink beige with a pearl overtone.
I still want faux!

My 3rd Mac lipstick believe it or not! Any recommendations for some everyday pinks?

Last of all, I'm the biggest chocoholic in the world, I'm so going to have diabetes when I'm old. I went to Hotel chocolat just to look (honest!) and the SA let me try some chocolate and of course I went back and got a box....

Soooo yummy, and of course they look adorable. A nice sweet note to end my day on =)

I went Shopping....Haul and a review!

So I've pretty much had no life thanks to placement 5 days a week and then on the weekend I'm working :( but the end is in sight as next week is my last week........ freedom!!
Anyways I managed to get a day off and I went shopping with my friend, well first we went to Tampopo in Leeds which is amazing, I'd definatley recommend it if you live near or in Leeds or are even planning to visit. They cook eastern food so foods from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan and Korea. The food is so fresh, healthy and pretty much delicioussss, the kitchen is like open so you can kinda see the chefs cooking.

So I ended up going to Lush and I got:
Limited Valentines Edition Magic Mushroom- Bubble bar £2.25

This reminds me of super mario *geek*. It smells really nice too but as I'm rubbish at describing so I'll tell you what Lush say which is Vanilla and citrus fruits but I wouldn't really say it smells citrusy.
I've already used this and I wouldn't say it's anything amazing, for instance no nice smelling bath or lovely coloured bath water. Maybe I didn't use enough, who knows. I did have loads of bubbles though and they kinda seemed more foamy kinda bubbles to me, like washing up liquid bubbles. Maybe I need to try this bubble bar out again but so far I wouldn't repurchase.

Then I got
Limited Valentines Edition Ex factor Ballistic £1.94

This is so cute, with the little love heart and such. Not bad for the price and I loveee the smell it's described as vanilla musk, like the butterball scent but I disagree that it smells like butterball. After a sniffing comparison they smell similar but the ballistic to me smells nicer. The idea behind it is kinda funny too.
This bath ballistic is supposed to turn my bath blue and be calming. I look forward to using this!

Next I got Bubblegum Lip Scrub £4.50

Okay this product is one that I can instantly tell you the scent of. It just like SNOW FAIRY. Yes people the amazing, much loved Seasonal Snow Fairy Shower Gel. Okay so the smell is amazing, it's pink, it tastes delicious and more importantly does the job. So pretty good I'd say, although you could make this yourself easily saving you some ££ but I'm too lazy for that plus it wouldn't smell like snow fairy. A little go's along way but I'd buy this again for sure. Also I kinda want to try out the minty flavour one as it's supposed to leave you all tingly!

Lastly from Lush I got Grease Lightening spot treatment- £5.10

I've read a lot about this so I thought I'd give it a try, it smells strongly of tea tree which is supposed to dry out spots, there's also witch hazel in it. The treatment is a gel and once you put it on it feels really light.

Got some Shoes! Love these, nice nude colour.

The soles are amazing. Last pair in my size. Good times.
I got Arc de Triumph by Soap and Glory - £5.00 with 1/3 off at Boots

So I've been meaning to get this shaping and highlighting crayon for a while now, it comes with eyebrow stencils on the back of the packaging . I think the highlighter is fantastic one swipe of it and you can see it, very pigmented however brow shaper side lets it down, I had to go over the line in the picture a couple of times for it to show up that much. So for £5.00 and a good highlighter I guess it's not bad.

I also bought some clothes from a new store in Leeds, but I'm going to stop now before I send people to sleep! Hope you all enjoyed my haul of randomness.

Lush Batho Bubble Bar, Shower Jelly Review

Yes there seems to be a Lush craze going on across bloggers at the moment, but will that stop me from writing reviews? No!
So first of all I used Batho Bubble bar the other day which looks like this:

Cost: £2.50
Smell: Amazing.
So I had a hot bath running and (accidentally) crumbled half of a batho into it, it's SO much easier to crumble than the comforter.
I then went downstairs whilst I was waiting for my hot lush bath. My bathroom is pretty much at the top of the stairs and I was about to go back up and was at the bottom of the staircase where the smell of batho hit me and lured me back up to the bathroom. My mum was even saying that when I was draining the bath she went outside to throw rubbish in the bins and she could smell the bath water and loved the scent.
I absolutely love this bubble bar, it's right up there with the comforter bar. Initially I couldn't really put my finger on the smell but according to lush it's Violets and ylang ylang, there's also some Jasmine thrown in there. Violet leaf essential oils are stated to be very relaxing and help you forget your worries.
This bubble bar gave the water a slight tinge of dark purple, the bubbles lasted for a while, I mean I was going pruney at the fingers and toes and there was still some bubbles left, not as much as comforter though.

Would I buy it again? Yes.

Okay this is super late I know, but I guess it can prepare you for Christmas 2010! (If they decide to make it again)
Snow Showers Shower Jelly.
I wasn't too keen on shower jellys after my last experience of it constantly slipping out my fingers and falling. (which I know a lot of people have experienced.) But not this time! I used it with exfoliating gloves and it worked so much better, it lathered up well too. If you have had a rubbish experience with jellies I can't stress enough how much you should try them with some exfoliating gloves (or maybe a sponge), I basically ripped a small chunk of the jelly as you really don't need much and then squashed it between my fingers, because of the texture of exfoliating gloves it sticks to them and there you have it! No slipping away.
The smell is sweet orange, lime and cognac oils. It's citrusy and very unique, I really liked the smell.
You can use shower jellies as they are or you can refrigerate or freeze them and either way it will definatley give you an invigorating shower.
I will be buying this shower jelly again if it's out for christmas this year and I'll also be giving other jellies a chance now I have mastered how to use Jellies without dropping it every 2 seconds.
Freezing or refrigerating it sounds interesting and I think I'll next try it out of the fridge and see how that go's.

Has anyone else tried Lush's shower jellies?

First Haul.. Lush! + Valentines Products.

I FINALLY got a chance to go shopping on Tuesday last week and planned to hit Lush first. I got into Leeds around 10am-ish maybe a bit later and Lush was dead along with the rest of town so I was quiet pleased about this as I can't stand shopping when its crazy.

As soon as I got inside (me and my friend were the only customers) I spent about ten mins talking to the SA and they didn’t really follow me around or anything as they could tell I knew what I was after. There were hardly any bath ballistics left so I only got about 5 of them. Here’s what I got:

Excuse the rubbish picture my SLR decided to die on me when I needed it.

So I got:
2 So white bath balistics- Used these before and I lovee them
2 Butterballs
A Satsumo Santa
The biggest Bottle of snow fairy I could find. I think I'm the only person who hasn't tried this shower gel yet..
Then I got a Free Stardust Gift
Tea Tree Water- Tried this once and like it so far, no strong scent of tea tree which I really expected.
I love juicy Shampoo I loved the smell of this, tried it out yesterday
American Cream Conditioner- Heard alot about this one and seemed like the best selling conditioner
1 Star Melt- What was I thinking? I only got one?! I love this star melt it's delicious. The smell is my fave.
Rock Star Soap- The smell is almost as good as the star melt and again I've heard alot about this soap.
Free The art of bathing Hat box
A free broken bit of Manage too massage bar.

Also in the pic is the unwrapped sweet and dreamy gift I got for christmas which I was meaning to blog about in this I got
Honey I washed the kids- which for some crazy reason didn't smell like it usually does :(
The comforter bubble bar- love this, see previous blog review.

Dream Cream
A ring of roses Buttercream
Dream Time bath melt
Waving not drowning bath ballistic
Vanilla Fountain Bath ballistic- Have 3 of these now, really need to try it out

Therapy Massage Bar

I kinda got carried away in lush but oh how I love it and they had the spend £20 get a free gift offer going on so I ended up getting over £60 pounds worth of free gifts and thanks to the informative sales assistant I managed to get a hatbox, they weren't out when I actually got there but bless her she told me to hang on.
I also got a sample of BIG, not sure if it will work for me due to my thick hair so it's going to take a lot to really massage it into my scalp the SA has thick hair too said she tried it and didn't think it was the best for our hair type. Not sure if the sample is enough for me to really test it out and have an opinion on it.

Don't think i'll be going to lush for a while now, only when the Valentines products come out I want to get my hands on Turkish Delight- 20,000 petals in every pot!

There's also the Magic Mushroom Bubble bar (scents of Vanillary and Yummy Yummy) The ex factor bath ballistic (Buterball Scent) and Love soap (Smells of Sex Bomb Ballistic) that I want to try out.

I'll be doing reviews on products as I use them, next one will be on I love Juicy and American Cream.
So has anyone tried any of the product's in this haul? what do you think of them?

Hello 2010! + Lush- The comforter Bubble Bar review

Happy New Year everyone. I can't believe it's 2010 allready! I hope everyone had a fantastic night/day.

Thought I'd do a quick review about the much raved about Comforter bubble bar.

Initial thoughts: It's a HUGE bubble bar the picture above show's how much I had left, I used about a quarter of it. Compared to other bubble bars like Ma Bar this one to me is much bigger. I'm not sure if it's usually that big but I got it in my Sweet and dreamy Gift for Christmas and I was quiet suprised at the size.
First thought's on the smell was Sweet, it reminded my brother of some kind of candy.
Lush describes this bubble bar as fruity and blackcurrant, I'd say it's definatley sweet and fruity.

I found breaking this bubble bar slightly difficult at first but once I did it was easy to crumble into my running bath. And this was the result!.....

My bath was full of fluffy bubbles and turned a lovely pink colour too which was a nice suprise, in the picture above you can see a really deep pink....that would be my bath mat! but the lighter pink towards the left was the colour of the bath water.
The bubbles lasted for ages and were lovely and moisturising whilst the smell wasn't too strong but sweet and fruity.

Overall I really really enjoyed this bubble bar and I see why alot of people love it. I think it's definatley going to end up being one of my favourites and if your a fan of sweet smells I reccomend this to you.

So.... who has new years resolutions?

Shopping shopping shopping lush.

Finally I had a chance to go shopping today so I hit the shops early this morning to avoid the rush. I spent huge amounts in lush….I need to stay away from that delicious place for a while now although I was looking forward to buying some of the new lush goodies that they will be selling in the New Year. The SA gave me some idea on what new thing's they will have!

So I mainly bought 3 bags full of lush which I will haul about when I get a chance and some dresses and hair products. I couldn't really shop after I had been to lush as the bags were so heavy they were giving me shoulder aches, my lovely friend even carried one for me.

How was everyone’s Christmas? Hope you all had a fantastic one…I’m trying to sort out the plans for new years eve at the moment, no idea what I’m going to wear.

Oh how I love Forrero Rocher's, my dad got me this huge tray to enjoy...

I absolutely adore Lush, just the smell makes me happy never mind actually using the products.
Soooo I was a lucky lush runner up in the raffles they've been having and I finally received my eagerly awaited prize, now I was only expecting sample sized products, not much at all really but the lovely lush actually sent me.....

This little box of love...

And Lastly Dream Cream 100g

I got these In a cute little box with a note congratulating me and talking about the products and these are apparently the most popular and the best selling products!
Much more than I expected to receive, another reason I love Lush...generous! I've only used dream cream so far, but snowshower smells absoutley incredible and I've heard a lot of people going on about how fantastic Honey I shrunk the kids Soap is!
