Liz Earle Lash Definition Smudgeproof Mascara Review

As many may already know Liz Earle branched out into make-up 'Liz Earle Colour' not long ago offering blusher, mascaras, eye-liners and many other products. In general I really enjoy their skincare range so was pleased and excited when I found out about the new addition of make-up.
Now I finally have one of those items to try, the Liz Earle Lash Definition Smudgeproof Mascara RRP £14.50 for 8ml.

The packaging is sleek and simple, I really like the two tone shimmery tube the mascara is in. There is also a little note about the mascara and how to apply, tips and suggestions.

This mascara is said to be lightweight, water resistant, long lasting and defining. The brush is designed to help even the shortest of lashes and contains Vitamin E for nourishment.
I got the mascara in 01 Black, it comes in two shades with the other being Brown.

I thought I'd test out the mascara on bare lashes without curling them first and here's how it looked..(FYI I have naturally long eyelashes which you can't really see in the 'Before' picture.)

Application..
You know how with some mascaras when you apply it and there's too much product and it go's clumpy? This was the opposite I had to work in that mascara! I applied the first coat waited a few minutes and then applied the second coat. It's recommended to use on curled lashes which I would have done if I could find my curlers, they tend to really open up your eyes and make your lashes look longer in my opinion.

Verdict...
If you are used to a more intense/dramatic look you may be disappointed as you would have to use at least three or more coats and even then it would lengthen more than volumise.
I really like that this mascara gives more of a natural look, it's s the perfect mascara to separate, elongate and yes 'define' your eyelashes with and give you that wide eyed look without any clumps. As you can see from the pictures it did lift my lashes too. I would suggest this mascara if you want a buildable natural look.
I wore it to work and had no problems with this mascara, I don't touch my eyes much so there was no smudging despite the humidity.

New Purchases: Benefit They're Real and Sleek Blush by 3

Just a quick post about my new make-up purchases. I'm trying to refrain from buying any especially as I'm doing a swap with Andrea! But I just had to get these two products, they have been blogged about over and over again, I'm sure most of you have seen/heard of/have them.
I am super excited to finally have them myself.
I caved into getting Benefits They're real mascara as I just keep hearing positive things about it so I'm looking forward to trying it. I decided not to open it until I'm actually ready to use it.
I also got Sleek's Blush by 3 in 'Lace' I chose Lace as I was drawn in by the oranges and my blush collection at the moment is all pinks! This cost £9.99 from Superdrug. This is also my FIRST Sleek product!! Crazy I know.
I tend to feel *ugh* when taking pictures of make-up/swatches as it can be so hard (to me at least) to capture the true colours. But I tried my best!
The two colours on the outside 'Crochet'- Orange and 'Chantilly'- Red toned Coral are matte whilst the middle 'Guipure' has shimmer but not in a bad way, trust me I normally stay away from shimmer/glitter make-up.
The middle colour also reminds me of Nars orgasm a little bit, I don't own it but from what I've seen online in person this sleek blush has the similar two tone peach-gold kinda colour to it, it's gorgeous! I also believe Sleek sell this blush on it's own under the name 'Rose Gold'. All three colours look incredibly pigmented and bright in the pan
So far I am loving this trio and I will do a more in depth post about it soon! I am even tempted to buy the other trios whilst their still being sold..
What do you think? own any Sleek Blush by 3's?

Project L'Oréal Lash Renewal Serum

So I've been reading so much about Lilash and wanting to buy the product thanks to the fantastic review and results I've seen from bloggers such as Bubblegarm.
However before I got the chance to splash out on the expensive Lilash I found out about L'Oréal Lash Renewal Serum and urgently went shopping and puchased a couple of them!
Although strangley L'oreal haven't advertised it anywhere the word is passing around and this product is flying off the shelves.

Priced at £10.76 but with £3.00 off as an introductory offer so £7.76 in boots it's way more affordable than Lilash which can cost up to a big £80.

It came with no instructions however on the advertisment stand where the serum was shelved it mentioned some simple use
age steps:

1) Use rounded tip to treat the lash line
2) Sweep the curved brush from lash root to tip

By day, apply under your mascara.
By night, remove mascara and apply to bare lashes.

It's been described as a product with 'An intensive formula enriched with Arginine and Centella' however for those of you who have been wanting to to know the actual ingredients I managed to peel back the first layer of the barcode sticker which supplied all he ingredients underneath hopefully you can read it below in the picture. To me the ingredients means nothing to me, there alcohol in the product which you can smell anyway.

So I've been using this product for about a week now and I've had no problems except sometimes a crusty feeling of the eyelash area when I awake however this may have been due to excess serum. I've not seen any results yet however I guess I'ts a waiting game. So I'll be applying this product everyday like a religion and fingers crossed it will work!

Is anyone else trying this product out as well? what do you think so far?
