Sunday.

- I lazed for alot of it, I still find it really weird being at home on a weekend. I have worked pretty much every weekend for the past 4 years (with the exception of holidays of course). So its really nice having those two days back to just do what I want.
- Decided to go to the gym a couple of hours before I was going out for dinner but crazily it motivated me to work harder soon as I had a time limit.
-Went to Aagrah with loads of lovely friends from exwork, it was so nice seeing them all. I missed them, seeing them every weekend and then hardly at all sucks. Ate tons of food (buffet- oh dear) Took tons of pictures and realised how much I suck at posing with other people.
-Just watched P.S I love You. Such an amazing movie, I'm a big soppy sod, cry way to easily at movies. Gerard Butler is yummy.
- And it's not even Sunday any more now, I procrastinate way too much.

I smell a smell...

....Of Anna Sui 'Rock me' and Katy Perry 'Purr'.

Everyone has a different take on smells but this is my view on these two perfumes.
Now usually I am never a buyer of celebrity perfumes, nothing has ever really attracted me to trying them. Especially after I had found 'the' perfume I stopped trying new ones until recently I decided I can vary my collection.
I love Katy Perry and on twitter a live streaming of her doing signings was on and it was for the promotion of her perfume. I couldn't resist the adorable purple cat bottle, I know it may not be to everyone's tastes but I think its lovely. The bottle has diamanté cat eyes and a 'collar' that says 'purr' and I adore cats!
I got the 100ml for £47.99, it did take me a while to get my hands on it as it was just before Christmas and constantly out of stock.

The scent is described as:
'Fresh citrus accord of peach nectar and forbidden apple to awaken the senses. It develops into a delicate floral bouquet supported by notes of jasmine blossom and pink freesia and dries down into a rich, luxurious scent rich with vanilla orchid and sandalwood.'
  • Top Notes - Peach Nectar, Green Bamboo, Forbidden Apple, Gardenia.
  • Heart Notes - Jasmine Blossom, Pink Freesia, Bulgarian Rose.
  • Base Notes - Vanilla Orchid, White Amber, Creamy Sandalwood, Skin Musk.
The description is taken from Debenhams, I am terrible at describing scents!

Verdict? I really like it, the smell is not overpowering at all, it's slightly fruit and rather light and refreshing.
The only dislike I have is that I feel like the scent doesn't last long on me but as I've purchased a pretty big bottle I don't mind. I'm not sure if I'd repurchase it though due to that fact.

Next I got Anna Sui 'Rock me' in the boxing day sale.
This is normally £25 for 30ml but I got it for I think £11 I'm not sure but it was pretty cheap. I didn't even want another perfume but I thought this would be perfect to pop into my handbag and have on the go.

This scent is described as
'A wild young floral fruity essence that attracts attention instantly with top notes of Williams Pear, Green Orange and Peach Skin, then delves into its love-song heart: Honeysuckle, Jasmine Nat and Waterlily. Fresh and flirty, it counterbalances rhythms with its own sweet beat. And then the downbeat of the woods takes over: Cedarwood, Amber, and Vanilla SFE.á Driving home the energy, and finishing the song with a warm embrace.'

Verdict? I absolutely love this one, the scent is fruity woody and stronger than 'purr' but not in a  overpowering way and it lasts longer too. My mum is always saying how nice I smell, I'm really glad I bought this and would repurchase it.

Has anyone tried these? What perfume are you loving right now? <3

See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil.

Agate Stone Necklace- Dorothy Perkins Sale- £5.00
Turquoise stone ring- Dorothy Perkins £7.50
Cream Stone ring Dorothy Perkins £8.50
Robot Necklace- Asos - £8.00
Monkey ring- Asos £10.00
Horn Earrings- Asos £8.00

I have so many new items of jewellery I think I got carried away. I'll have to do another post. Now, I have never been a ring person until recently, I feel a ring addiction coming on.
Dorothy Perkins isn't usually a place I go shopping in much, but my mum got me a necklace which resulted in me going on their website and doing some shopping. They do have some lovely things and currently there's 20% off for students. I love those horn earrings, I've been tempted to get my ears streched (just a little bit) in the past but never did it (wasn't a fan of the thought of saggy ears haha) I'm not sure if the earrings suit me though I'd prefer black or silver and of course they decide to stock silver ones once I've already got those. The robot necklace I bought for £10 and now it's £8.00 how annoying? The monkey ring, I adore. I prefer silver to gold but I just had to have that ring...it's too cute.  I also got something for a future giveaway which I can't wait to do. What jewellery are you liking right now?

Bakeybake nom.

My first attempt at almost vegan (didn't use soya milk and vegan butter) cupcakes went amazingly well. I was superrr pleased with the results...I'm the biggest cake person ever but can be a bit of a n00b when it comes to baking. My dad won't eat cake with eggs in them so I wanted to make something yummy that he can have too because normally I'd make cupcakes with egg. I never thought it would be possible to make eggless cake so light, fluffy and moist. They were consumed within two days =) result!

Made a quorn stirfry kinda thing whilst waiting for them to bake. Also delish.
Are you a baker?

Let it burn

Don't you just love putting a candle on and relaxing and maybe put on a movie or read a book?
I certainly do, and after hearing tons about Yankee candles I finally decided to buy myself some.

As soon as I opened the box I could smell the candles, I loved the 'Ooooh it's arrived' haha, nice touch. Currently I'm burning Clean Cotton and initally I was so confused, I couldn't smell anything for about 3 hours or so. But now it's burnt in quiet a bit the smell is nice but not as strong as I expected. I don't know if that's because it's a small candle or just me building up expectations. Either way its a lovely subtle scent and it seems to be flickering right now too which I love. Something keeps mutating on the wick though which is rather odd. I also got baby powder, lemon lavender and vanilla lavender. (Yup I love the smell of lavender!) Does anyone else burn Yankee candles? What do you think?

Lush Art of Bathing... Sex Bomb Bath Ballistic Review.

I got the Art Of Bathing Hat Box from Lush a while ago but it has been safely tucked into my wardrobe for months until today. I decided to have a nice relaxing Lush filled bath.
(Picture from lush)
This set is sold at £39.95 and includes a mixture of 12 bath ballistics and Bubble bars. 6 bath ballistics and 6 bubble bars to be precise and these are:
Bath Ballistics:
-Avobath
-Supernova
-Vanilla Fountain
-Sex bomb
-Butterball
-Big Blue

Bubble Bars:
-Hot Milk?
-Karma
-Bathos
-The Comforter
-Ma Bar

I've tried a mixture of half of the products in the box now some I love more than others such as the legendary Comforter which I blogged about here and bathos.

Anyway back to my bath, I crumbled some comforter into it which left a lovely light pink tint in the water and then towards the end of my relaxing bath I realised I forgot to pop in my Sex Bomb Bath Ballistic.
I also forgot to snap a picture so here's one from Lush:

This Ballistic has ylang ylang, jasmine and clary sage which is supposed to relax you and make you 'feel like a lover'. Jasmine is the key smell it has also been used as an aphrodisiac and hair and beauty tonic and perfume in India.

What did I think?
It's AMAZING. This has to be out of all the bath ballistics I've used my absolute favourite! In the past I've used some that to me were pointless they fizzed, maybe let out some colour and that was it. Boring. Infact I was put off bath ballistics and started to not buy them. But this baby not only fizzed away for a good fair amount of time (considering it's quiet big as well) it let out a gorgeous pink colour and with the pink of the comforter my bath water was VERY pink!

It doesn't end there either, the smell was phenomenal. Quiet strong and I'm quiet rubbish at describing scent's but it was a perfume-y one, maybe that was the Jasmine in it. There was also a cute little rice paper rose that floated around in the bath. It felt slimy but looked cute nonetheless.
I would definitely recommend it, it costs £2.99 and in my opinion it's fantastic if you want to treat yourself. You can read more reviews on this here.
What is your favourite bath ballistic?

Blast Off Belly Fat!

I have decided to get back into exercising and becoming fit again, I have a gym membership at Esporta and have hardly been going which is appalling to say I'm paying quiet a bit each month!
 (Weheartit.com)
The summer before last I was a total gym freak, no messing around...it was my second home and I was there almost 5 days a week every week.Once I got into the routine there was no stopping me.
I also had the most amazing personal trainer.
And surprisingly I lost quiet a lot of weight.
Now my personal trainer was magic, I've been to the gym in the past and it didn't make much of a difference.. atleast in my problem areas (jellybelly, arm-flab) buttttt my trainer made me work my core and made me do some really tough target toning exercises.Tthe first day I had with her I was dying and the next day I ached like crazy and this continued for weeks as she made it harder. It was expensive but I definitely saw results and I feel like I'm so much fitter since then even if it has been two years.

(Weheartit.com)
Unfortunatley after all that hard work I did Camp America and ate tons... I couldn't help myself, I was in a whole new world of food.
Then in 2010 I spent summer away again and never really had a gym membership and I'm not the biggest fan of jogging at all (I did attempt it though!)

I'm not a big user of work out DVD's but the 10 minute solution- Blast Off Belly fat caught my eye on Amazon and it was only £4.19 with tons of good reviews so I thought why not?
At the gym I do more cardio and by the time I get to toning I'm tired, either that or I get bored of the two stomach toning exercises I know. So I thought this will be perfect to do at home or I could even do some of the exercises at the gym.
It's funny as I'm typing this my brother walks in, saw the DVD and said 'Do you really think that's going to work?'
I think yes.
There is five different 10 minute programmes including a pilates oriented one.
I only got it today so I can't really review it but after watching some of the exercises I have a gut feeling it will , some of them I have allready done before with my personal trainer too and I could defo feel the burn.
Has anyone used this dvd before? What are your fave exercises?

Wordy Wednesday

Forget wordless Wednesday, I feel like talking.
- I got a new webcam, it has some cool effects which I have been messing around with.
- I went to go see Tron today with a couple of my friends from my now exjob. I enjoyed it, there was some yummy eyecandy in the name of Cillian Murphy who to me, actually looked better in the movie with his longer hair and glasses
-  I have tons of uni work to do, can't wait till it's all over. I just want to relax and watch movies and see friends and go to the gym more.
- Been feeling down in general. Tough times.
-Looking forward to going away this year I'm thinking Thailand and India.
-Also looking forward to exwork late Christmas party on Saturday, I'm in need of a good night out and lots of friendly faces.
-Lastly I have a huge craving for Nando's. I think it has to be my favourite place to eat!

How are you all?

Be.

'Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind' -DR Seuss

All Pictures are from weheartit.com

I've seen it happen all too many times, people change to please others even if it's for a minute or just a change of opinion so you look 'good' or 'cool' to them. People want to look like or act like someone else.
But why?
It's so hard in today's society where people can be so judgemental.
But
Everyone is wonderful and beautiful in their own way. Everyone is different and there is nada wrong with that.
Don't be afraid to be you and be proud. If that's a problem to anyone else then they aren't worth being a part of your life.

I love that Cee Lo Green's 'Fuck You' song wonders into my mind as I type this!
